Rekit
A modular video control unit for creators and editors. Physical feel, digital precision.
Video editing relies heavily on mouse-and-keyboard workflows that slow down repetitive tasks such as cutting, scrubbing and timeline navigation. Frequent menu use and shortcut memorisation increase cognitive load and interrupt creative flow.
Rekit moves the core editing actions onto buttons, knobs and sliders. Each module works on its own or clicks onto the others; they connect over pogo pins and carry their own battery.
This plug-in structure lets editors build a personalised workflow, add new functions over time and adapt the system as their needs evolve — without replacing the entire device.
Editing is not just about tools on a screen, but about rhythm, focus and flow. By translating complex digital commands into calm, tactile interactions, the device removes friction from the process.
